ANONYMOUS JURY SELECTION STRUCK DOWN
The Oregon Supreme Court recently reversed Aarick Sundberg's conviction and struck down the circuit court's use of anonymous jury selection in Oregon, in State v. Sundberg, 349 Or. 608, 247 P.3d 1213 (2011). Mr. Balske served as Mr. Sundberg's direct appeal lawyer and petitioned the Oregon Supreme Court to review this issue. Following the grant of review, he provided further briefing on Mr. Sundberg's case and argued the case before the Oregon Supreme Court.
